Skimo 101 • Will be held from 4 - 5:30 PM on the 15th and 29th of January. In these sessions the very basic techniques of skimo racing will be taught [the essentials of skinning, transitions, boot packing, and kick turns]. Each session is meant to be stress free and to help those completely new to this gain confidence, and have fun. There is the option for participants to take part in Citizen Series races proceeding each session, which would be a good opportunity to practice skills and get mileage in. If you are in need of gear for these sessions; Gear Up in Canmore and Backtracks in Banff have touring gear available for rent, and we [SkiUphill] have demo skis that can be rented. Please be proactive with getting your gear together.

Skimo 201 • Will be held from 6 - 7:30 PM on Feb 12th, 19th, and March 12th. In these sessions the basics of skimo racing will be deepend to make you a faster, more efficient, and more competitive racer. In these sessions technique will be stressed, but is still geared towards the average skier just looking to up their game. That is to say, the goal is to work hard and learn more nuanced aspects to racing whilst also having fun. We will have skimo specific skis and backpacks available to rent for these sessions, but again Gear Up and Backtracks are good resources for rental ski touring gear that can be used for this clinic.
