2016 Marble RV Corner Brook Triathlon

NEW COURSE FOR 2016

The Marble RV Corner Brook Triathlon is excited to announce a new, more accessible course for the 2016 event.

The swim will once again be in the Glynmill Inn Pond and the swim transition will be in the Sir Richard Squires Building parking lot.

After leaving the transition area, athletes head north on Mt. Bernard before turning left on to Herald Ave. Cyclists make a right turn through the Fortis Building parking lot then through the intersection to Griffin Drive. The route will continue on Griffin Drive until McEacherans Ave, where they will turn around and return to the Griffin Drive intersection. The Griffin Drive to McEacherans Ave section will be lapped until the appropriate number of kilometres is reached.
Upon completing the bike portion of the Triathlon, athletes will leave Transition 2 and continue down the Old T’railway running parallel to Griffin drive. Runners will exit the T’railway at Water St., continue a short amount down Griffin drive until directed to turn by volunteers and barricades. Runners will continue along Griffin drive back to Transition 2. This will be 1 lap of the course; the number of laps to run is determined by the length of race being completed.
