Welcome to the LSSD District Series Race #5 and the Lappe Invitational Event Page!
As LSSD race #5 is being held at the Lappe Invitational, in addition to the LSSD District Series categories (Open/Masters, U18/U16/U14/U12), we also have categories for our youngest athletes U10/U8/U6. It is a perfect race for all ages and is a pre-Nationals tune-up for those heading to Whistler!
The race format is Classic Mass Start.

Registration closes at Midnight on Thursday, March 10.
Seeding will be based on the District Series Standing after race #4.
U16/U18/Master Women athletes will be seeded together, with starts by gender.
U20+ athletes will be seeded also be seeded together, with starts by gender.
Course Distances:
U6 - 100 m | U8 - 1 km | U10 - 2.5 km| U12 / U14 - 5 km
U16/U18 - 7.5 km | U20+ - 10 km
COVID Protocols:
LSSD District Series races are organized in consultation with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and following all Government of Ontario regulations. In addition, this district series abides by XCSO's Competition Vaccine Mandate for all athletes, coaches and team personnel, volunteers and officials aged 12 and up.
Proof of Vaccination (POV):
Any athlete who has already participated in one of the District Series Races will not have to show their POV. All other athletes over the age of 12 will need to show POV at bib pick up.
Masks - A Buff is not Enough:
Double or triple layer (not buffs) must be worn at all times, except when you are actively skiing or consistently more than 2m from others outside. All people on site are expected to wear masks in the parking lot and stadium entrance.
