Package Pickup

Riders will need to arrive in enough time to check-in at the Registration tent. You will receive a timing chip that will need to go either on your handlebars or your left ankle. This will give you your finish time! You will also receive a set of bibs and a bike plate.

Parking

There is limited parking available to the southeast of the Terrace Building at the legislature. There is a public lot where riders can pay to park east of the registration area off of 106 Street at 96 Avenue. It is recommended that riders come from the south or east via 105 Street and Walterdale Bridge or 98 Avenue to access the area as the road closures will begin quite early.

Timing Chip

Your GoChip is provided by Zone 4 timing systems. You will receive this at package pickup. At the end of the race, please make sure you give back your timing chip to volunteers at the finish line. Lost or unreturned chips will be billed at $75.

Mechanical Support

Mechanics from United Sport and Cycle will be on hand to take care of any last minute issues that need to get you race ready! Please note that they will not be able to tackle and moderate or major mechanical issues in such a short amount of time. We would recommend you make sure you identify any issues and visit well in advance of the race!

Finish Line and Awards

Once riders cross the finish line, we ask them to continue around the corner and take their first right onto 96 Avenue as their warm-down section. From there, you will be able to safely get off your bike in a clear area while always being aware of your surroundings. 106 Street is not closed to traffic.

Awards are presented to the top three male and female riders in each race category. This ceremony will take place on the clamshell stage at 11:15am.

Recovery

Come visit our official race physio and recovery sponsor, Athlete Recovery Centre (ARC) by Pivotal Physiotherapy. Stop in to take advantage of some post-race stretching and recovery Normatec boots! They are located on the southeast lawn by across from the stage.

SWAG! Thanks to our amazing sponsors and community, we have a special swag bag for all Urban Fondo participants. Come exchange one race bib for your swag pack at the recovery tent. We can’t wait for you to enjoy some well-earned treats thanks to our amazing community partners: Antisocial Running Club, Doughnut Party and SYC Brewing!
