2023 Feisty Rooster Loppet and Fat Bike Races

We are excited to host the 3rd Feisty Rooster event on the beautiful trails at Adam Lake in Turtle Mountain Provincial Park. It's a great opportunity to bring together the XC Ski and Fat Bike communities and showcase the great trails of TMPP.

The 'Feisty Rooster' gets it's name from a rooster that was found at the Adam Lake trails years ago. 'Adam' the rooster was as a feisty one and we felt worthy of having an event named after!

Location:

Adam Lake Winter Recreation ski trails trailhead, Turtle Mountain Provincial Park. Approximately 2 hours 45 min from Winnipeg. West on #2 hwy to #10, South on #10, turn right at Adam Lake, follow signs.

Race Schedule:

12 pm - .5 km & 3.4 km xc ski race start

1:00 pm - 21.6 km xc ski race start

1:05 pm - 11.2 km xc ski race start

1:30 pm - 11.2 km & 24.3 km fat bike race start

*race meetings will be held at the trailhead 15 minutes before the start time

*costumes are encouraged, especially for the shorter distance skiers!

Bib and Plate Pick up:

Pick up your xc ski bibs or biking plates 30-60 minutes before your start time at the registration table (skating pond warm-up shelter near trailhead).

Lunch

A Chilli and/or hot dog & dessert lunch will be available at the toboggan hill warm-up shelter from 11 am - 1 pm, $5/kids, $10/adults. Proceeds will go to the Turtle Mountain Nordic Ski Club. Preferably purchased with registration.

Awards / Prizes

~3:00 pm - Race category awards and door prizes will be given out after the Loppet and Fat Bike Race.

T-Shirts

Feisty Rooster T-Shirts will be available for purchase through the registration site or on site, $15/kids, $25/adults.
