Welcome to the 2023 "Beat the Blues Boogie Loppet"

on Sunday, March 12, 2023; hosted by the Strathcona Wilderness Centre

For more than 15 years, the "Beat the Blues Boogie Loppet" has been raising funds for research for melanoma cancer in the name of Roger Tetrault. The "Boogie" is hosted by the Strathcona Wilderness Centre with Laura Tetrault and family.

This fun race and fundraiser originated with Roger Tetrault, to raise spirits and awareness of melanoma cancer.

This free technique event (classic or skate welcome!) is open to all ages and abilities. There will categories for adults, teen, youth, para nordic, jackrabbits and bunnies.

Event time schedule: Sunday March 12, 2023

*  9:00-9:45 a.m. bib pick up @ SWC Skiers Table

*   9:55 a.m. race briefing at start line

*  10:00 a.m. race start; wave start by distance and category

• Trail Pass required and can be purchased at the Info Centre
• Season pass holders please scan your pass card at Info Centre

*   Start area is on Fox trail below the Meadow grid, across from the Information Centre.

Entry Fee:

• $25.00 for Junior and Open
• $14.00 for Youth and Sport Para
• $12.00 for Jack Rabbit and Bunnies

Equipment Demo and display of Fischer, Salomon and Swix products.

Everyone is welcome to check out and try out the latest skis, skin skis, boots and pole equipment at the displays outside of the Info Centre. Drop by to have a chat, ask questions and get a preview for the 2023-2024 ski season.

Refreshments: Post-event BBQ is included in the event fee for all participants. Refreshments will be available for sale to the public.
