Proceeds from the Back Forty go towards new trail construction in Whistler and mountain bike programming for the

    Indigenous Life Sport Academy

. Last year we raised $12,000 and thanks to the financial support from our sponsors we hope to raise $15,000 at this year’s event.

This race would not be possible without the support of our sponsors. Massive thank you to Specialized, Sundial Hotel, Gibbons, Chromag, Whistler Connection, OneUp Components, and RideWrap.

   The Course

The Back Forty was inspired by the legendary NIMBY 50 and brings the spirit of that event to Whistler, in a totally different package. The three stage course stretches from Cheakamus, then up the Westside to Meadow Park.

This year’s course has a new Stage 1 in Cheakamus (Stages 1 and 2 from 2022 become Stages 2 and 3 for 2023). The 2023 finish is now in Alpine near the apres and parking locations.
