Nova Scotia Cross Country Ski Provincials

February 10th and 11th, 2024

SCOTIA XC and Cross Country Ski Nova Scotia (CCNS) invite you to participate in races that bring together skiers from across the province to celebrate nordic skiing in Nova Scotia.

Saturday morning there will be a timed skate race - distances according to age category.

Sunday morning there will be a timed classic race, distances according to age category.

Host Club: SCOTIA XC Ski Club

Location: Oakfield Golf Course

Cost:

• Youth: $10/race; Adult: $25/race or $40 for both days.
• All proceeds go towards SCOTIA XC Ski Club grooming fund.
• Includes mandatory $3 NC Tier 3 event fee.

Event Schedule:

Saturday, Feb 10th

10am-10:45am:- Race-bib and timing-chip pick up

10:30am- U6/U8/U10

10:55am- Race briefing at start

11am- Free Technique Start

Sunday, Feb 11th

10am-10:45am-Race bib and chip pick up

10:30am- U6/U8/U10

10:55am- Race briefing at start

11:00am - Classic Start

Awards: Medals for the top three of each age group, male and female.

Cancellation/Relocation: In the event of cancellation an email will be sent to all registered participants and notifications will be posted on social media channels of SCOTIA XC and Cross Country Nova Scotia.

Waxing Facilities: A small outdoor waxing tent will be available. There will be no power source. Please clean up afterwards. Please do what you can before arriving as space will be limited.

Age categories: based on age as of December 31 ^st , 2023

Eligibility: Membership in Nordiq Canada required, through member clubs. If you are not a club member in Canada, you must purchase a 1-day membership and electronically agree to the Nordiq Canada “Informed Consent and Assumption of Risk Agreement” .
