All entries are accepted on-line at Zone 4; www.zone4.ca
There is no separate registration for the Pursuit. If you sign up for both races in the same category you are automatically in the Pursuit. If you sign up for only one race or do not sign up in the same category for both races you will not be in the Pursuit. Please see comments below under Seeding and Awards.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE
5 PM Friday, April 5, 2024
Any Late entries will start after the official group and will cost 2 x Registration Fee.
ENTRY FEES:
Youth (Novice to Bantam): $10.00 per race.
Competitive, Recreational: $15.00 + $3.00 Day License**
HST included in fees
**Day Licence costs an additional $3.00 per day even if the skier has a NC Racing Licence
ELGIBILITY:
All Participants must be a member in good standing with a club recognized by CCNL/NC.
SEEDING AND POINTS
Seeding for the morning races will be based on NL Seeding List .
The Start lists for the morning races will be produced from the seeding list.
Athletes without CCNL points, will be seeded by race committee.
Seeding and the Start list for the afternoon races will be based on the mornings results.
Athletes who did not participate in the morning events and Athletes without CCNL points will be seeded by the race committee.
COACHES MEETING:
Friday, April 5, 7 p.m. at the Blow-Me-Down Club.
A zoom or teams invite will be provided for those travelling at that time.
Waxing Facilities/Waxing Protocol:
Waxing Area will be available however wax forms are limited. Clubs/racers may be responsible for providing their own waxing forms.
Wax testing areas will be available.
As per CCNL Policy Fluorinated Glide Waxes are NOT permitted and Fluorinated Kick Waxes are NOT permitted.
The adherence to this protocol is self-governed and is the responsibility of the coaches, athletes and parents

AWARDS:
Medals for first, second & third place for all categories. Awards will be presented at the banquet. Three awards will be made per category:
- Fastest time for the morning race;
- Fastest time for the afternoon race; and
- Fastest total time over two events (the pursuit)
Please note that you are not required to do both events or to be in the same category for both events but only those doing both events in a single category will be eligible for a pursuit award. For example if you race in Open 5k in the morning but Recreation 5k in the afternoon you will be eligible for awards in each individual race but not for the pursuit which is a total time in a single category.
Only the individual events will count towards NL Cup Points. No NL Cup points will be awarded for the Pursuit.
BANQUET:
There will be a banquet at the Blow-Me-Down Lodge on Saturday, April 6 at 6:00 pm. Cost is $20.00 per person. Tickets must be purchased in advance. The menu is moose burger and fries.
Note: Canteen will be open during the event in the daytime
JUNIOR DEV TRAVEL SUBSIDY
