This event is designed for both new and experienced riders and can be completed using a cyclocross, gravel or mountain bike. Riders wishing to use electric assisted pedal bicycles are welcome to register, but will not be eligible for competition prizes.
The race starts at 9:00 AM ,

at Blackfoot Lake Staging Area at the North Eastern corner of Cooking Lake/Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area. The area is 4 km south of Highway 16, using RR 195.
The ride takes you along the undulating grass trails, gravel and double tracked roads within the Park. The course is 37 km long with three timed segments within the route. Placings will be determined for each timed segment as well as an overall placing (using the sum of the times for the three timed segments). The course is a large loop, with riders also finishing in the same location as the start.

While every effort will be made to hold this event, by completing the following registration form you acknowledge and agree that the risk of cancellation is a shared one between the Canadian Birkebeiner Society (Birkie) and the individual rider. As an example, extremely poor air quality due to wildfires could jeopardize the health of the riders.
Nevertheless, it is the Birkie's intention to hold this event. Until the last possible moment, it will be buying supplies, engaging contractors, and preparing volunteers. Because these costs are incurred even if this event is cancelled, this event is offered on the condition that it is
