Event Information

Sit-Ski Mountain Boarding Try-It Days provide an exciting opportunity for youth ages 8 and up to explore the world of adaptive sport in a supportive and fun environment. Designed for individuals with varying physical abilities, this program introduces participants to sit-skiing on a mountain board, a training method to prepare for winter/summer Nordiq skiing.

Led by skilled coaches from SASKI-Para Adaptive Snow Sports, participants will:

  • Learn how to sit in a sit-ski
  • Use cross-country ski poles
  • Practice the double poling technique
  • Understand how to use brakes safely
  • Engage in games and activities that build endurance, balance, coordination, and upper body strength

This initiative is a gateway to year-round community programming and helps identify interested athletes for continued involvement in adaptive snow sports.

What to Bring

  • A helmet (required for participation)
  • Comfortable, stretchy clothing
  • Water bottle.
  • A printed and signed waiver form (attached to the invite)

  • Cost: $25.00 for all three Try-It Days and assessment
  • Age Range: 8 – up years old, must be able to use ski poles
