This 1.5 hour private lesson will introduce cross country skiing techniques such as diagonal striding, gliding, hill climbing, and turning on easy terrain. The lesson will be tailored for the individual(s), working on specific areas of interest or need for improvement. After practicing in the training area, we'll head out for a ski to practice your skills and gain confidence moving on skis. The lesson will take place at Shaganappi Point golf course. Participants must come equipped with skis, poles and boots, water and appropriate winter clothing.
Shannon is a CANSI level 1 instructor with 25 years nordic skiing experience under her skis. She brings a fun, adventurous flair to her ski sessions while sharing tips and movement techniques to empower beginner and intermediate skiers alike. She connects with skiers of all ages and abilities and is dedicated to helping them improve and enjoy the sport. Shannon simply loves getting outside, and cross-country skiing is her favourite way to share the peace and beauty of the winter with others, and wants to to help you build the confidence to get out on your own.
