Welcome to the 2025 Muskoka Loppet
A classic tradition
Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club, with the help of our Sponsors, Arrowhead Provincial Park and many volunteers, welcome you back! Registration Instructions :
Bibs and chips must be picked up by 9:30 am on race day at the registration office.
Register early and save! Early bird rates are in effect until January 15th at 11:59 PM. Parents skiing with children need to register as adult social skiers if they wish to ski on the course.

Course Description: This is a classic race – skating is not allowed.
4 km Race (approximately)- Short loop – Easy –Special Olympic racers, social skiers & kids
17 km Race - 1 loop - Medium Level Difficulty
30 km Race - 2 loops - Medium Level Difficulty
***The 17 km event is part of Nordique Canada's Masters Ranking List ***
*** New this year for 4 km skiers ***
Due to large numbers of skiers in the 4 km, we will have 2 waves of the 4km course.
Competitive wave: Competitive Skiers leave first
Social Skier wave : Families, slower skiers, newer skiers etc. leave 3 minutes later.
4 km skiers must choose their wave when registering.
Results for the 4 km Awards will be the combination of the 2 waves, not separate results.
***Also New For This Year***
A new awards category has been created for children 12 and under who have intellectual and/or neurological challenges. This category is called Trillium Racers. It has been created to prepare them for Special Olympics at age 13.

Feed Stations:
- There will be 1 feed station on the 17 km loop.
Awards:
- Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category. See www.arrowheadnordic.ca for a full list of categories.
- Awards will start near the Visitor Centre after most skiers have finished each race.
Race Day Details:
Please bring all the food that you need for the day. We will offer coffee and hot chocolate only.
- Mass starts begin at 10:30 AM with waves going out at 3 minute intervals.
- You must notify a course official if you discontinue the race at any time.
- There is a $60 charge for race bibs which are not returned.
- There is a $100 charge for timing chips which are not returned.
- 30 km racers who have not completed their first lap in 1 hour and 45 minutes will be asked to discontinue the race. The 1st lap is 17 km, and the 2nd lap is 13 km.
Weather Considerations:
- The course is subject to change, without notice, due to weather and snow conditions.
- In case of very cold weather , start time may be delayed by up to 1 hour. Skiers will be given as much notice as possible. Cancellation due to poor trail conditions or extreme cold weather will be announced by Friday, January 26th (barring unpredictable weather changes). Please check our website. There is no rain date. Refunds will be emailed out, less a $10 fee to cover the cost of the timing chips and the Zone4 fees.
Facilities:
- Arrowhead Provincial Park has a beautiful Visitor Centre and a Pavilion equipped with a waxing room. There are 5 ventilated waxing stations. Please see our website for details about this building, and about parking and washrooms.
