Biathlon races are open to all Registered athletes wanting to compete in a biathlon event.

Those new to the sport should register in a Dev 1 Category which may see them shooting on larger targets with more relaxed shooting rules. This is a race day decision based upon the number and experience of the athletes in the Dev 1 Categories.

Dev 1/2 Categories have the option of using EcoAim optical rifles or using a pool .22 rifle.

Dev 1/2, U17 Prone and Adult Dev 1 Rifle competitors will only shoot from the prone position (laying down) and Dev 1/Adult Dev 1 Rifle will be permitted the use of a rest to stabilize the rifle during shooting.

Athletes not having their own rifle can elect to pay $10 per day of racing and have a rifle and ammunition provided to them during the race. Those using the general pool rifles shoot in the Dev 1 category as the rifles will not be fitted to individual athletes and Dev 1 categories are permitted the use of a rest.

Athletes registering in carry categories must have their own rifle. Pool rifles can not be carried and are restricted to prone only shooting...

ELIGIBILITY :

All participants must be a member of Biathlon Canada and have a division membership.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS :

Saturday, February 21th - Sprint

1. 10:00 to 11:00 Bib Pick up
2. 11:00 - 11:45 Zeroing
3. 10:30 course open for pre-ski. Athletes are not permitted on the course until the Chief of Course has officially announced that the course is open for pre-ski.
4. 11:45 Range closes
5. 12:00 Race begins
6. Awards presentation after race (approximately 2:45pm)

Sunday, February 22th. Mass Start

1. 10:00 to 11:00 Bib Pick up

1. No onsite registration; must register online on Zone4 system
2. Online registration closes on Wednesday, February 18th at 21:00 CST.
