Arrowhead Nordic Elementary School Freestyle Cross-Country Ski Race

(Open to Elementary Schools in the Muskoka Area)

This race is for Classic and Skate Skiers Grades 1-8

$13 per racer

Race Start - 11:00 am

Race Categories and Distances:

• Trillium Racers - 1.2 km
• Grade 1/2 - 1.2 km
• Grade 3/4 - 2 km
• Grade 5/6 - 2.5 km
• Grade 7.8 - 3 km

This is a freestyle race. Students may classic or skate. Awards will be given to the top 10 skiers regardless of technique.

All students/adults will need to bring their own snacks, lunch and water bottle.

We will have free hot chocolate

The Trillium Racers Category is for Gr. 1-8 students with intellectual/neurological challenges. The distance is 1.2 km and they will ski first. An EA, teacher or school volunteer may ski with the student. We will provide an adult to accompany your skier(s) if you do not have someone. Please contact races@arrowheadnordic.ca to discuss with us. All these adults will be identified by a red bib which we will provide.

No teachers/parents/adults are allowed on the course. If you would like to be on course, we would welcome you as a controller for the entire race.

The cost is $13. Please arrive well before 9:45. Race bibs must be picked up by 10:15
