Get ready for a thrilling day of snowboarding at the Northern Edge Banked Slalom Event!

Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or a first-time racer, this event is all about speed, skill and carving through challenging, banked turns on an exciting course designed for snowboarders of all levels.

What is a Banked Slalom?

The Banked Slalom is a downhill snowboard race where competitors weave through a series of tight, banked turns. It’s all about maintaining speed, precision, and flow through the course, while navigating each turn with control. The fastest rider to cross the finish in your category wins!

It’s all about bringing the community together, connecting with friends – old and new- and having a fun weekend!

If you are not a season pass holder to Powder King (PK), or are travelling from out of town, PK is offering 50% off lift tickets for racers! All racers will receive a 2026 T-Shirt and the chance to win some awesome door prizes!

Schedule of events:

8:30 am: Racer check-In

10:00 am: Racer Meeting

10:15 am: Course Inspection

10:45 am: Run 1

1:00 pm: Run 2

3:30 pm: Tear Down

4:30 pm: Awards in the lodge

The slight price increase this year is due to the inclusion of a chip timing system. Racers will wear a timing wrist band, which needs to be returned after your 2nd run. Unfortunately, if the wristband is not returned, it will cost the participant $75.

Registration is open until March 27th, but please keep in mind that if you sign up beyond March 6th, you may not receive your t-shirt size as they will be ordered on March 6th.
