The 2026 leg of the Calforex season begins in Grande Prairie, January 9-11, 2026. There's so much for the whole family to do this year in Grande Prairie!

• The Wapiti Nordic Ski Club is hosting the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour. For more information click here
• The City of Grande Prairie is hosting the Grande North Winter Festival. For information click here
• We are hosting an early bird registration prize draw! Register before December 26 and be entered to win one of 8 free two night stays at the paradise inn in Grande Prairie! Offer valid for any athlete travelling from out of town for the event.
• Friday afternoon come enjoy a FREE pre-race session with olympian Nathan Smith, who will lead an on-snow session followed by a presentation on what it takes for an Alberta athlete to compete internationally.

This event is geared towards Developmental Athletes and also serves as a selection event for Team Alberta North for the Arctic Winter Games in Whitehorse, March 2026.
