Historical Demographic Trend Reports added to Membership Database
Sep 14, 2008

One of the major strengths of the Divisional Membership System is it's historically based architecture.  This allows for very detailed and standardized data reporting and analysis.  Recently, a club wanted to know the age breakdown of their membership numbers for the past few years so they could see trends in age group membership numbers and more appropriately set annual fees.  Clubs that use their Membership Database with Reporting Modules to CCBC, CCA, & AA, create invoices each season that record current categories and ages.  By building a report that tracks this data over the entire history of the system, it's possible to get a very detailed breakdown of membership numbers over time.  For CCBC clubs, this means the report includes numbers from all the way back in 1996.  There are now three reports in the Membership Database ->Imports and Downloads section that detail these demographic trends for each club.  The three reports detail Date-Of-Birth, Age, and Gender respectively.  For clubs that are new to the system, there may not be much data available yet, but this will begin to populate over time.  This is a good example of the kind of detailed analysis that can be accomplished due to the standardized nature of the Membership Database.
