Even with the new flexibility in the upgraded Custom Reports area (see here:  http://www.zone4.ca/News.asp?ID=46 ) and the advanced filtering system, there was still a limitation in retrieving related individual level records.  The most common of these requirements was to return the Individual level records of the Parents of a particular child.  So although the new filtering system let you specify filters such as "Program Type" = "Jackrabbit", to get a list of all the Individuals in that program, there was now way to also retrieve the parents of those children.  As this would be a fairly common requirement, Zone4 has added a special logic filter for just this scenario.  There is now an area at the bottom of your Filter By section called 'Special Logic Filters" which includes (at this time) just the single special filter called "Include Parents of above Individuals."  So when you add this special filter to your report, it first filters by whatever parameters you have specified using the regular Filter system, then it also retrieves anyone over the age of 20 who is in the same Cart as the filtered individuals.  When building a report like this, you should also GroupBy the Cart Number field so that you can easily see the family groupings as separate entities.  By then Ordering by the DOB field, you should have your parents at the top of every Cart grouping and the kids in the filtered programs below.  You could also Order By the Cart Number field, but it depends how you plan to use the report and what's easier in terms of finding parents and individuals.
