The registration for the Salty Dog 3 Hr Under 15 Team and Salty Pup Race is now full.

It's time again for the kids' Salty Dog and Salty Pup race. For bigger kids who want to do an enduro race course as a team there is the 3 hour U15 enduro. It's a 3 km course and is a stepping stone to the full race. Kids must compete as a team for this race. Times are recorded for this race. For the kids age 11 or under who want to do a rolling 1 km loop there are two Salty Pup Races this year. The Little Pups race is first for kids on run bikes and bikes with wheels 16" or smaller. (No training wheels please - the course is a trail.) The Salty Pup is for kids on bikes with 20" or 24" wheels. The Little Pups race is a half-hour and the Salty Pup is 1 hour. Times are not recorded for the Little Pups/Salty Pups and kids try to complete as many laps as possible. When: Sunday, May 13, 2012 Where: South Canoe Trail System, Salmon Arm, BC. The 3hr U15 race course is 3 km and it parallels the lower portion of the full race. Start time: 9:30 racer meeting at start/finish area, 10:00 Salty Dog starts, 10:30 U15 Salty Dog and Little Pups start, 11:00 Salty Pup starts. Race kit pick up: May 12 at Skookum Cycle, 141 Shuswap St., 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, and May 13 at the race site from 8:00 am to 9:30. All fees include Cycling BC race day insurance and a T-shirt. The race will be limited to 150 entrants. Ages are your age as of Dec 31, 2012.
