There have been a few bugs found in Version 4.0 and 4.1. This update addresses the following issues. Each issue is marked as either Critical, Serious, Annoyance, or Obscure.
-
Critical - There was a bug in the sprint module where it did not assign racers to the correct heats. The sequence did assign racers to heats in a distributed pattern so it was easy to miss, but the pattern is not the FIS approved pattern. It used the wrong patterns for all sprint formats including 2,4,5 and 8 first-round-heat models. There was no workaround. This issue has been corrected.
-
Annoyance- The Race File listing in Racer Entry had a bug when trying to edit data right in the grid. It did not save Bib numbers or e-mail addresses. In the case of Bib numbers, the grid would show that you had changed the bib number, but in fact it had erased the number completely. The workaround was to simply open the record to view the full Racer Details and edit the bib number in that screen.
-
Serious - The Electronic Timing screen had a bug when using the Copy, Copy+ or Manual Insert Time features. The bug would display 2 copies of the new time, one where it should belong in the time grid, and the other at the bottom. Since both times shown where the same record, the workaround would be to scroll to the bottom and manually skip the time at the bottom and then find the time in the grid and assign it a bib number as needed. This issue has been fixed.
-
Annoyance - When adding and removing fields and features in Set Options, it did not always reset the Report settings so new fields may not have shown up in Print Setup and could not be included in printouts. The workaround was to import the race file into a new event which resets the Print Settings and allows for new reports from scratch. |
