Intro to CX Clinic p/b Hot Sauce Cycling

Calgary Velodrome, 5300 19 St SW, Calgary, AB

Wednesday, July 26, 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Please arrive at 6:30pm for UCI licence review, if you do not have a UCI licence a non-liability waiver form will need to be completed upon arrival. All riders are welcome!

You will receive hands-on instruction from professional cyclocross rider: Mark McConnell of Hot Sauce Cycling. This is an introduction to cyclocross clinic open to riders of all ability levels. We will spend time reviewing bike set up, mounts, dismounts, starts, cornering, running with and shouldering the bike, barrier practice, and to finish - a mini race to put all of the skills together (with some saucy podium prizes).

Cost: $40 per person (space is limited)

10% of every entry will be donated to support the Calgary Humane Society!

The Calgary Humane Society has a simple mission: to help as many unwanted and homeless animals as they can through sheltering, education, violence prevention and adoption. This is Calgary's longest standing animal welfare organization and works to save thousands of homeless animals each year.

About the instructor:

Mark McConnell aka Hot Sauce Cycling has been racing professional cyclocross for the past five years. He has spent several seasons abroad racing against the best in the World in his pursuit of cyclocross excellence. Mark is a three time member of the Canadian National Team at the past three CX World Championships, and believes that cyclocross is a year round sport - if you practice now, it will be far more fun (and less painful) when the season begins!
