The Challenge

This is a marathon-style cyclocross race. The course features several laps of rolling, twisting, climbing, and descending doubletrack trail. There is ample space for passing, drafting, group riding, and bear dodging. The track is mostly hard-pack dirt with grass as well as some gravel sections. This isn’t a gravel road: it’s rougher in places, softer in places, and steeper in places. And as a backdrop to your pain and suffering, you’ll have the majesty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

You can ride whatever kind of bike you want: cross, mountain, gravel, fat, whatever. You can even change bikes mid-race. If you race on a mountain bike, your race will include mandatory singletrack sections. See the Tech Guide for more info.

This year, we've decreased the price by $5 (hey, it's something) AND increased the value of the free swag! You can thank us later (beer and coffee are about $5, just sayin').

• Full Marathon (4 laps, ~70km): $70
• Half Marathon (2 laps, ~35km): $65
• Junior Marathon (1 lap, ~18km, under 18yrs only): $50
• Team Relay Full Marathon* (4 laps, ~70km, 2 riders per team): $65
• Team Relay Half Marathon* (2 laps, ~35km, 2 riders per team): $65

* Each teammate registers independently. A team consist of two people. You will identify your team by name on the registration page. More relay info in the Tech Guide.

Procrastination Tax: All prices will increase by $15 after Thursday, August 9 because it makes our life difficult when you register at the last minute (and our beer and coffee consumption increases accordingly).
