Membership and Race/Timing Management
Otway Nordic Centre - Prince George BC

The first multi-sport Zone4 clinic to be offered in the North.

If you are involved with Cross-country skiing, Biathlon, Alpine skiing, Cycling, Mountain Biking, Triathlon and more ... this is course is for you. It will be informative for any sport club currently using or interested in using Zone4 for membership and/or timing; for anyone new to Zone4 or wanting to get a better understanding of how it all works.

You can attend the session that suits your role the best, or come for the whole weekend!

Membership Management - Friday Oct 25th , a few hours this evening is for club staff and administrators who deal primarily with membership, programs and camp registrations.

Race File /Timing Management - Saturday Oct 26th and Sunday Oct 27th is for Competitions Committee persons who are involved with Race Office and Timing to learn more about managing a race from building the start list, configuring timing devices, and through to publishing results.

Topics and hands-on experience will include:

· How to setup a registration for different levels and formats of events
· Data validation and confirmation lists,
· Race file design and processes surrounding confirmation lists and start lists,
· Online with local server and Offline with local server event setup,
· Recommended hardware setup for Summit only and GoChip Summit and
RapidCam GoChip Summit races,
· Recommended outdoor volunteer setup and priorities,
· Recommended indoor timing staff and roles for different levels of events,
· Timing and troubleshooting,
· Results production and procedures,
· Key considerations, options and processes for individual sprint events,
· Special considerations for team events,
· Common troubleshooting mistakes and resolutions,
· Rental and purchase options,
· Racer engagement with live tracking and photos,
· Running a sample race, including sprints, relays and individual starts.
· Opportunities for mentorship with Zone4

Each participant will need to bring a laptop or suitable device that can connect to the internet; and have Zone4 login with administrator permissions from their own club.

Lunches, light snacks and coffee/tea will be provided.
