LESSON TYPES:

• Introduction to Classic Skiing 1 ~ New to skiing or wanting to try a lesson to improve technique
• Classic Skiing Follow-Up ~ you have skied several times and have taken the Introduction to Classic above and are looking to improve your skiing

• Introduction to Skate Skiing 1 ~ first year of skate skiing, not recommended for new cross-country skiers (see Introduction to Classic above).
• Skate Skiing Follow-Up ~ second year /equivalent of skate skiing

• Intermediate Class/Skate Skiing Lesson ~ After you have taken Intro to Classic/Skate lessons and the follow-up lessons. This lesson works on improving the technical aspect of your skiing.

• Private Lessons ~A great opportunity for 1:1 instruction, regardless of your experience or skill level. We have a selection of private lessons available each month from December-March. *Private lessons are available by request. Choose from Skate or Classic skiing lessons.

• Ski Packages ~ Includes 3 x 60-90 minute lessons designed for first timers, those who haven't skied for many years or have taken a lesson before but forgotten what to do! By staging over three sessions it allows time for you to practice in between and successfully layer on new skills to optimize your progression and build confidence on the trails. These lessons include: falling and recovery, diagonal stride, double poling, introduces uphill and downhill techniques (snow plow and herringbone). Each session will include time on the trails to practice your new skills. A worthy investment! Saturday February 11, 18, 25 @1pm

LESSON DURATION:

Lessons are 1-1.5 hours depending on the group progression and weather conditions. This is at the instructor's discretion.

INSTRUCTORS:

Our instructors are certified by the Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors (C.A.N.S.I.) and/or NCCP. Rental equipment, including classic skis, skate skis, boots and poles are available for lessons from our rental shop.

All participation in a Wapiti Nordic program require a day pass or an Annual Member.

PLEASE NOTE: Payments for lessons are non-refundable once purchased

Lessons will be cancelled if the temperature one hour before your lesson is -20C or colder per the Environment Canada Website or conditions are unsafe (icy). Payments for lessons are non-transferable and non-refundable . In the event we cancel a lesson, we will reach out to you to re-schedule your lesson.
