School District 73 and the Kamloops Music Collective are pleased to partner on an exciting opportunity for emerging jazz musicians in Kamloops. Join us for a full day of interactive Jazz workshops with acclaimed Jazz musicians Anita Eccleston, Kris Ruston, Richard Graham and Alex Ward. The day will culminate in an opportunity to perform for the community at a concert with the guest musicians.

This opportunity will be for students in grades 8-12, who have an interested in exploring Jazz Music. The event will take place on March 29th, 2018, from 8:30 AM- 3 PM. In addition, there will be a concert at 5:30 -7:00 PM. A $20.00 commitment from each student will secure their spot in the workshops, get them admission to the evening concert and two additional tickets for family/friends to attend the evening concert. Additional tickets will be available at the door for $10 each. Proceeds will be going to the Whole Note program, which assists restricted income youth with the costs of music education.

We ask when they register that they select and rank their top 5 favourite songs that they would like to work on at the workshop. Songs will be assigned after registration is complete.
