City of Lakes Cycling Club is excited to be able to host this short track series in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia that will hopefully expand in future years! The op de Fiets Short Track series is a great way for kids and adults alike to build technical skills and endurance for future cycling events and competition. Or, sign-up for the op de Fiets to keep active, have fun and meet other cyclists in your community!

Beginner riders on run bikes are welcome to race as well

As part of our agreement with the city of Halifax all riders must have a bell on their bike as the short track will take place on a shared area with pedestrians.

Proceeds from the event support the youth mountain bike development teams GM op de Fiets and Koers op de Fiets.

June 7, 14, 21, 28 (Rain Date)

Categories and Fees:

Kids U17

$15/ night or $40 for the series

17 and over

$20/night, $50 for the series

Non-BNS members must pay an additional $10.00 to participate in this event.

Parents who commit to volunteer (and show) will receive a full refund for up to 2 children (per adult)

5:30pm-6:15pm

Kids and shorter course for extra littles

6:30pm (20-25 min race)

Bigger kids and adults

7:15pm (30 min race)

Vehicles must park at mic Mac mall and access the race site via the trail system.
