Winter activities in Butterpot Park are now managed and funded entirely by the Avalon Nordic Ski Club, not the provincial government. The club must therefore charge trail use fees to cover things like plowing, trail grooming, and operation of the chalet.

A season pass (available to Avalon Nordic members only and purchased at the same time as club membership) or day/weekend passes are required for the winter use of Butterpot Park. Day/weekend passes are valid only for the date/weekend requested. Please bring your receipt and/or electronic pass (which will be sent to your e-mail) as proof of payment. Club volunteers will not routinely be at the chalet to accept cash or cheque, so please pay by credit card here.
