Biathlon Saskatchewan Introduction to Biathlon

Biathlon Saskatchewan is excited to bring this Intro to Biathlon program to Regina, and the traditional Treaty 4 territory of the Cree, Saulteaux, Dakota, Nakota, Lakota, and the homeland of the Métis.

The 4-week Introduction to Biathlon program is best suited to those aged 8+.

• February 6 @ location TBC.
• February 13, 27 and March 6 @ the Saskatchewan Science Centre nordic trails

Topics covered will include:

• range and rifle safety, shooting position, and aiming
• the basics of classic cross country ski technique.
• putting skiing and shooting together.
• a biathlon race!

Participants will be required to purchase a Biathlon Canada membership prior to registering for this program (Biathlon Bears athlete category = $10). Participants will also be required to bring their own water bottle and headlamp. Those who already have cross country ski gear are encouraged to bring it, and those who don't will be supplied with equipment.
