Details for the June 19, 2016 Race

Nova Scotia's longest consecutively running road race, the Riverport Road Race, will be hosted again this year by O'Regan's Subaru Cycling.  The loop will remain the same, but a reminder that the race is now run out of the Riverport Community Center (not the Elementary School). As always, there will be prime laps and a KOM sprint for Categories A, B, C/F

When:  Sunday, June 19th, 2016
Online Registration $35 (kindly pre-register online if possible - closes at 5 PM on Saturday, June 18 2016)
On-site, day-of registration $40 available from 9:30 til 11:00
All riders must hold a valid  BNS/CCC/UCI racing license or purchase a One Event Membership at an additional cost of $25
Cat A starts at noon and subsequent categories start at 5 minute intervals

Cat A - 5 laps for 140 km
Cat B/Female A/U19 Male - 4 laps for 112 km
Cat C/Female B- 3 laps for 84 km
Cat D/Female C/U19 Female - 2 laps for 56 km
U17 - 2 laps for 56 km
U15/U13 - 1 lap for 28 km

Prize Money for all categories will be generous and determined according to the final registration numbers.

Directions: Highway 103 to Exit 11. Travel South on Hwy. 324 approx. 10 kms to a 4-way stop. Make right onto Hwy 332 towards Riverport. Travel approx. 15 kms. to Riverport Community Center on the left. This route will take you approx 3 km past the old start/finish line and a short ways past the bridge in Riverport (do not go over the bridge; continue straight on past it and the Community Center will be on the left.)

Two jersey numbers are required (lower right side and upper right shoulder). These can picked up on race day at sign in.  If you have numbers from a previous road race, bring them! Save these numbers as you can reuse them for the 2016 season.

Lets keep the community of Riverport happy on race day. Throw your garbage in the garbage can and make sure your vehicle is not blocking a driveway or wharf when you park.
