SIGN-IN:
All participants MUST sign in between 8:00 and 9:30 AM. A valid BNS/CCC/UCI racing licence must be shown at sign-in. One jersey number is required and must be attached low and center on the back. Jersey numbers can be picked up on race day at the sign-in table if you did not attend a race earlier this year.
TEAMS:
Register your team for Stage 2 TTT during the sign-in period. If you belong to a club, try to assemble your team from fellow club members. However, you may choose teammates from anyone who is registered to race on the same course (ie. long or short). You are not limited to the same club, racing category or even gender.
If you are unable to form a team of three cyclists, you will be assigned to a team. Prologue times (first segment) will be used to find compatible matches after the conclusion of Stage 1 HC.
START TIMES:
The course cannot be used for warm-up at any time before or during the event. There is a designated warm-up area of 4.5 km that starts near the entrance to Jubilee Park. If you have trainers or rollers, you can find any open area within Jubilee Park to set up your equipment.
Start times for Stage 1 HC will be posted online on Saturday, September 17, and also at the sign-in area on Sunday. Riders will depart at 1-minute intervals starting with the long-course competitors. More information about start times, order of departure and locations:
Stage 2 TTT start times will be posted at Jubilee Park after the conclusion of Stage 1. Teams will depart at 3-minute intervals starting with the short-course competitors.
Stage 3 ITT starts 10 minutes after concluding Stage 2. Teammates will split up and depart at 1-minute intervals. Order of departure will be based on Prologue times from Stage 1, from slowest to fastest.
AWARDS:
There will be medals for the top three cyclists from every category, regardless of field size. Numerous categories frequently have few participants and practically guarantee a podium finish. Please invite people to fill up these categories so that they can take home some hardware!
There will also be ten other awards based on performance for specific segments and stages. Categories will be combined to create major groups (similar to traditional packs at road races) for these secondary awards. Participants will be invited to vote for the best of these winners immediately after the conclusion of Stage 3.

SPEED:
This is a fast course! The HC includes a descending segment on a newly-paved road where speeds easily peak at over 80 km/h. Be very cautious if you are not accustomed to high speeds. After crossing the finish line, extra care must be taken when descending back to Bridgetown because there are two tight curves, one with a 20 km/h posted speed limit. The TTT and ITT are also fast given the very gentle rolling terrain on a wide-open highway with excellent pavement. A good tailwind might be enough to help someone make a push for 50 km/h.
Barring a nasty hurricane, this event will happen, no matter how many register. So let's conclude this long racing season with a Spanish-style party!
