Welcome to the 2017 Sass Peepre National Junior Training Camp

July 30 - August 1 at Morin Heights Ski Resort (Ski Morin Heights), Morin Heights, Quebec

The 2017 Sass Peepre  National Junior Training Camp is a program organized by the Sass Peepre Junior Development Committee of Orienteering Canada in conjunction with the Ramblers Orienteering Club.

Before you begin, here is some important information about registration.

1. Participants

a. The Sass Peepre National Junior Training Camp is intended for orienteers aged 11-20.

b. Participants and siblings 10 years old and younger are welcome only if a parent volunteers at the camp full-time. Parents must contact Kitty Jones (kittyjones (AT) shaw (DOT) ca or 403-282-5235) for special permission for the 10 and under age category.

c. Non-Canadian juniors are welcome.

2. Volunteers

a. This camp is organized and run by an amazing group of volunteers.  They coach, drive, and supervise bedtime. Please consider joining the team!

b. All adult volunteers will receive free room and board at the camp.

3. Registration

a. The 3 day Training Camp costs $150.00 per participant until May  31.  This fee covers accommodation, meals, coaching and transportation during camp. As of June 1, the registration fee increases to $165.00. From July 1, the fee increases to $180.00. Registration closes July 15 at midnight.

b. When a second (or third) child from the same family is registered in the Training Camp, the family is eligible for a discount of $20 for each child after the first participant.  You will see a separate line item where you can write "sibling" to get that discount.  The discount applies to each of the fee schedules.  Thus until May 31st, a sibling would be $130.00  Until June 30th, the sibling fee would be $145.00.  Until July 15 when registration closes, the sibling fee is $160.00.

c. Participants, or their parents if the participant is under 18 years old, must complete the waiver (assumption of risk) and privacy consent sections of the registration .

Upon registering in the 2017 Sass Peepre National Junior Training Camp, I agree to release and indemnify and save harmless Orienteering Canada, and/or the Ramblers Orienteering Club, and/or Ski Morin Heights, and any of their servants, agents, sponsors, volunteers or employees from any and all claims or demands whatsoever which might be made against Orienteering Canada, and/or the Ramblers Orienteering Club, and/or Ski Morin Heights arising out of or in consequence of the named participant(s) in the 2017 Sass Peepre National Junior Training Camp.

In the event of injury or any other emergency during the camp, I hereby authorize the staff (organizers, coaches, and volunteers) of the 2017 Sass Peepre National Junior Training Camp to act on my behalf for the health and safety of my child (children), should they be unable to contact us in a reasonable amount of time.  I will provide the name and number of the person designated as Emergency Contact and available during the camp.

I ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY  for all such action taken on behalf of my child (children), including financial responsibility in excess of benefits, provided for my child (children) in any medical plan.

Bienvenue au camp d’entraînement Junior Sass Peepre de 2017

Ce camp a lieu du 30 juillet au 1 ^er août au centre de ski Morin-Heights (Ski Morin-Heights), à Morin-Heights au Québec.

Le camp d’entraînement Junior Sass Peepre de 2017 est organisé par le comité de développement junior Sass Peepre d’Orienteering Canada en collaboration avec le Club d’orientation Ramblers.

Avant de commencer, veuillez lire les renseignements importants concernant l’inscription.

1. Participants

a. Le camp d’entraînement Junior Sass Peepre est destiné aux jeunes âgés de 11 à 20 ans.

b. Les participants et tous ceux qui les accompagnent âgés de moins de 10 ans sont les bienvenus seulement si l’un de leurs parents participe comme bénévole à temps plein. Les parents doivent appeler Kitty Jones au 403 282-5235 ou lui envoyer un courriel à kittyjones@shaw.ca pour obtenir une permission spéciale pour les enfants de 10 ans et moins.

c. Les juniors internationaux sont les bienvenus.

2. Bénévoles

a. Ce camp est organisé et géré par un merveilleux groupe de bénévoles.  Ils entraînent, conduisent et supervisent les dortoirs. Nous vous encourageons à vous joindre à notre équipe!

b. Pour tous les bénévoles adultes, l’hébergement et les repas seront gratuits au camp.

c. Appelez Kitty Jones au 403 282-5235 ou envoyez-lui un courriel à kittyjones@shaw.ca pour devenir bénévole.

3. Inscription

a. Le prix du camp d’entraînement sera de 150,00 $ par participant jusqu’au 31 mai.  Ces frais paieront le l’hébergement, les repas, l’entraînement et le transport pour la durée du camp. Dès le 1 ^er juin, le prix sera de 165,00 $. Dès le 1 ^er juillet, le prix sera de 180,00 $. L’inscription se terminera à minuit le 15 juillet.

b. Si un deuxième (ou un troisième) enfant de la même famille est inscrit au camp, la famille pourra bénéficier d’un rabais de 20 $ par inscription après le premier participant inscrit.  Vous verrez une ligne d’article distincte où vous pourrez inscrire « frère » ou « sœur » pour obtenir le rabais.  Le rabais s’appliquera à chacune des vagues d’inscription.  Les frais pour un frère ou une sœur inscrits avant le 31 mai seront donc de 130,00 $, de 145,00 $ avant le 30 juin,  et de 160,00 $ avant le 15 juillet.

c. Le participant, ou les parents des participants de moins de 18 ans doivent remplir un formulaire (acceptation des risques) et les sections de consentement à confidentialité de l’inscription.

d. Veuillez passer votre curseur par-dessus le point d’interrogation bleu pour en apprendre davantage sur cet élément de l’inscription.
