Sanction: Points will be counted towards the Canadian Points List (CPL). This NB RollerCup #4 Race are sanctioned by CCC and require racing licenses. However, day licenses will be available online on Zone4 during registration for those who do not have racing licenses from CCC.

Canada Points Lists for Rollerski Races

Points for nationally sanctioned rollerski races will be calculated as per the cross country ski races protocol using the regular CPL to determine race reference points.

Rollerski event points will be posted on a distinct Rollerski CPL but will not be included on the regular cross country ski CPL for seeding or selection purposes.

Eligibility : Participants must be a member of a registered club with Cross Country Canada. Competitors from outside Canada must be member of a club of their country of residence or origin. Skiers must agree to the online registration waiver prepared by Cross Country Canada. For those under 18 years of age the waiver must be completed by a parent or guardian.  Participants who are not members of a CCC registered club can purchase a day pass in the amount of $5.00 on zone 4.

Registration: Only registrations via Web Site www.zone4.ca will be accepted.  Registration deadline is FRIDAY October 13, 2017 at 9:00pm . No registration in the morning.

Fees: Refundable (minus an administration fee) in case of cancellation by the organisation and payable via Web Site www.zone4.ca until 9:00 PM, October 13, 2017

$30 CAD for (Open, Master, Para-Nordic and Participation) (snacks)

$30 CAD for (Pee-wee thru junior) (snacks)

As it is a Cross Country Canada sanctioned race there is a fee of $ 5.00 per race for a day license fee. Cross Country Canada license holder will not need to pay the daily license fee. There are no daily license fees for categories Midgets and below.

This year, admission to Kouchibouguac National Park is free to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary. However, you still must obtain the free pass either at the Information booth at the entrance of the Park or online before the event at the following link:

Food: Snacks will be available to participants after the race.  There will be no meals served after the race.

Race Course : Courses will be closed to road circulation (general public) from 6 am to 1pm.  The participant’s and spectator’s vehicles will be allowed on the road until 9 am only.  The athlete will be able to ski the courses from 9:15am only.  No motorizes vehicles will be allowed on the road from 9am to 1pm.

Parking: If you do not plan on staying for the duration of the race, please park your vehicle in Ryans parking lot.

Seeding: A chevron start will be used, with athletes placed on the chevron according to CPL.  Only double poling is permitted on the first 50 meters of the course in accordance with CCR396.8.1.2.  Skiers with a CCC license and without points will have their starting order randomly drawn in the same group and will start behind the seeded group.  Skiers of those categories without a CCC license will have their starting order randomly drawn in the same group and will start behind the CCC license holders group.

Bib Availability : Pick-up at La Source during the Coaches Meeting, Saturday, October 15, 2017 at 9:00am.

Please Note: A replacement fee of $60 will be charged to competitors who do not return their bibs.

Awards: Medals will be given to the Top 3 of each category for both genders.  Also ribbons will be given to 4th to 6th position for categories Pee-Wee, Mini-Midget and Midget for both genders.  Awards will be presented after the races around noon at La Source based on the unofficial results.

**PLEASE NOTE that in case of insufficient registration in a category, the organizing committee reserves the right to combine categories.  The awards will be distributed according to the combine categories.

Important information regarding rollerski equipment:

Only the Swenor 65-000 wheeled skis with wheels #2 of the CCC fleet will be allowed.  Skis will be assigned by random draw in accordance with CCR396.2.10.  Rollerskis  will be available for athletes and will be distributed 15 min prior their race start.  Poles shall comply with RCC343.8.1 for free technique races.

Please note that there are 15 pairs equipped with the NNN binding, and 15 pairs with the SNS.  Please indicate in the registration form the binding you are using.

Athlete must provide their boots, poles, protective eyewear and helmet. Please note that a protective helmet and eyewear is mandatory.

Cancellation: Any change in the event or cancellation will be posted as early as it is known on the Cross country NB website: www.xcski-nb.ca and circulated by e-mail.

Extraordinary circumstances: Given the uniqueness of this event, the organizing committee reserves the right to cancel the race in case of force majeure or insufficient registration.
