Georgian Nordic Outdoor Activity Centre invites everyone to participate in the 2019 Sounder Ski Tour and Fat Bike Fondo on Sunday January 13th 2019.

Classic events start at 11:00 am with different distance categories going every 10 minutes.

Free technique events start at noon with different distance categories going every 10 minutes.

Fat Bike 10 km event starts at 1:30 pm

There is soup, bagels, and hot chocolate for all participants.

There will be amazing "draw prizes"!

Awards and prizes will be distributed as results become available.

In the Sounder 2019, the following events are SOD Race Series events:

• 1.1 km classic for Atom category (YOB 2011-2012 and earlier...),
• 1.7 km classic for Pee Wee category (YOB 2009-2010),
• 2.9 km classic for Mini-Midget (YOB 2007-2008) and Midget (YOB 2005-2006) categories,
• 5 km classic for juvenile (YOB 2003-2004) category,
• 10 km classic for junior (YOB 2001-2002), open (YOB 1989-2000), and master skiers.

Waxing Protocol for SOD Race Series:

The Sounder Ski Tour is a part of the SOD Paraffin Race Series. In order to increase accessibility to the sport, focus on athlete development, and reduce costs, no glide waxes with fluorocarbons are permitted. No Low Fluoro wax, High Fluoro wax, powders, hardeners, or gels or other "voodoo" are permitted. This restriction does not apply to grip waxes.

This restriction applies to all categories, including Open and Masters in the SOD Paraffin Race Series, and in all events part of the Sounder Ski Tour 2019.
