Welcome to the 2019 Alberta Orienteering Championships
This year's champs will be at Sandy McNabb Provincial Park. The terrain includes open forest, marshes, clear cut areas and, as it is in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, lots of climb! Three events are available: Middle distance, Team Relay, and a Long Event. The AOA is hosting a BBQ after the relay event on Saturday. We look forward to seeing you there!
All participants must be current members of an orienteering club: the Alberta Orienteering Association, FWOC (Foothills Orienteering / Orienteering Calgary) or EOOC (Edmonton Overlanders) or a member of a Canadian orienteering club affiliated with Orienteering Canada.
If you aren't a member of a club, you may join the Alberta Orienteering Association by becoming a member of either club:
FWOC - https://zone4.ca/register.asp?id=19843
EOOC - https://zone4.ca/register.asp?id=18965
In order to be eligible for medals, you have to run in the competitive stream, in your age category, and you have to be an AOA member.
