  • Air Rifle Camp The camp will be run at Eagle Lake Gun Club Sat Jun 1st, 9:00am - 5:00 pm and Sun Jun 2nd, 8:30 am - 2:30 pm and is for athletes 9-14 years. Must be a member of Biathlon Ontario and possess air rifle and pellets. The camp will focus on safety, basic shooting principles, range procedures, dry firing routines, race plans, shooting logs, plyometrics and some fun races to close out camp. Coaching staff TBD. Cost $50.00

  • Community Biathlon Trainer Workshop (formerly Community Silver Workshop) This course will run at the Eagle Lake Gun Club Sat Jun 1st, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and Sunday Jun 2nd, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm. This introductory 10.5 hour workshop focuses on the fundamentals of skiing and shooting while equipping you with the skills needed to teach them to other athletes. This second level of the Community Coaching stream includes an overview of the Biathlon Bears Program, NCCP Competency Base coaching streams, planning and conducting a practice session, and Emergency Action Plans while also placing emphasis on safety, fun, ethics, teamwork, and values beyond the game. If you do not have an NCCP# please go to https://thelocker.coach.ca/account/login?ReturnUrl=%2f and register.   • Coaches Information & Planning Session This meeting will take place at the Caswell Resort Jun 1st, 9:30 am - 2:30 pm and Sunday Jun 2nd, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. This workshop/meeting will cover the technical aspects of our sport, 2019/20 draft race schedule planning, selection criteria for Provincial Team, OAAP and Ontario Winter Games. Detailed agenda to follow. This session will be facilitated by Tim Hurley, BiON VP Tech and Chair of Coaches & Athlete Development Committee. Cost Free

  • Wax Clinic 101 This session will take place at Eagle Lake Gun Club Jun 2nd, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. This session will be facilitated by Steve Varieur , steve.varieur@gmail.com and cover ski base construction and basic waxing techniques etc. Participants are required to bring a pair of skis to work on. Cost Free

  • Coaches Professional Development Workshop, Responsible Coaching This session will run at the Caswell Resort Jun 1st, 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm. This session will be facilitated by Peter Niedre, Director of Education Partnerships, Coaching Association of Canada. The Responsible Coaching Movement (RCM) is a multi-phase system-wide movement, coordinated by the Coaching Association of Canada and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport that is a call to action for organizations to implement realistic change based on their individual state of readiness. PD points will be awarded for this session. Cost Free
