2021 CBRC Spring Opener

We are here to support you during this time of change and social distancing

The race fee for the in person event is $15. A virtual event option is available for $10.

Each participant must purchase a season membership for $10. All entries subject to a registration processing fee. You will be sent a member code for use at future events which will waive the $10 season membership fee. (Codes are not automatically generated, please allow a day or two after the event for processing)

Participants in the virtual event will receive information how to submit their time in the week before the event

Due to public health guidelines: (a) The in person event is limited to 75 participants. (b) There will be no kids event and no spectators. R unners are encouraged to come on their own. (c) All in person participants will be required to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire/waiver the day of the event.

If public health guidelines change the event may move to a purely virtual event.

Please note there will be no washroom facilities on site

To help maintain physical distancing and overtaking, all runners are asked to provide an estimate of their 5km run time. Runners will start at 30 second intervals, with the fastest runners seeded first.

Two runners in the same bubble may start at the same time, but are expected to complete the course together. If you wish to avail of this option, both runners must provide the name of their bubble runner when registering

REGISTRATION IS ONLINE ONLY AND CLOSES MAY 7 AT 8PM. THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION

This 5 km course is CAA certified (Athletics Canada # NL-2009-039-BDC)

BIB PICKUP - 10:00 to 10:45

START - 11:00

Cancelled registrations will be refunded 50% up to one week before the event, or you may opt to switch to the virtual event and receive a $5 refund.

If this event must be cancelled due to public health orders, all registrations will be switched to the virtual event and receive a $5 refund.

Registration processing fees are not refundable
