Club Membership & Program Registration 2022-2023

Step 1 CLUB Membership - All athletes, volunteers and club activity participants (including parents & siblings) MUST be Club members (e.g. parents travelling with the team, anyone volunteering at local races etc.)

During Big Thunder activities, all club members are covered under Nordiq Canada's liability insurance for locations we specify as Club activity locations. If your name is not on the list of registered Club Members, you are not covered by this insurance and cannot participate. It is common for whole families to be registered as club members, even siblings who don’t ski. Club Membership is renewed annually in June.

Big Thunder Nordic is an accredited club with Nordiq Canada (NC), Cross Country Ski Ontario (XCSO) and the Lake Superior Ski District (LSSD). Being part of this membership brings benefits (including liability insurance coverage) and also helps to support the development of cross country skiing in Thunder Bay and across Canada.

Big Thunder Nordic Ski Club collects and remits the fee for membership with NC, LSSD, XCSO. This $22 fee per Club Member (age 6 and older as of Dec 31, 2022) is mandatory for every member in a NC accredited club and is in addition to the Club Membership fee noted below.

Step 2 PROGRAM Registration - Register in the appropriate program, if applicable. If you are unsure which program to register for, please check out the program descriptions on our website btnordic.ca/programs or contact our Head Coach, Adam Kates at adamckates@gmail.com for more information. You can register as a Club Member today and return at a later date to add a program - please retain your emailed receipt as you will need this to add a program at a later date.

Family membership $50

• 2 adults of the same household
• dependant children (up to three) under the age of 21 years as of December 31, 2022

Adult Individual membership $25

• 18 years and older as of December 31, 2022

Youth Individual membership $20

• 13-17 years as of December 31, 2022
• 12 years and under must register with an adult
