Youth Programs 2022/23

Youth Programming

PNSC youth programs are designed around Sport Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development principles and Nordiq Canada’s program guidelines.

Jackrabbit sessions are created by grouping “like skilled” participants together. The objective of the program is for participants to learn basic cross-country ski skills, to instill a lifelong interest in the sport.

There is a 50% mandatory MONTHLY attendance requirement for all programs.

Summary of Available Programs:

Parents and Tots (under 4yrs) - 3 x 4 week sessions. $30/session. 30 min lessons on Wednesdays at 1:30pm starting in December.

Bunny (4yrs and up) - 2 x 6 week sessions. $30/session. 30 min lessons on Saturdays at 2:30pm. Parent must be present.

Jackrabbit 1/2 (6-9yrs) - 2 x 7 week sessions. $40/session. 60 min lesson on Saturdays at 2pm starting in December.

Jackrabbit 3/4 (6-9 yrs) - 16 weeks. $85. 1 session. 60 min lesson twice a week. Tuesdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 2pm.

Recreation (10yrs ) - 2 x 7 week sessions. $60/session. 60 min lesson on Thursdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 3:15pm.

Track Attack (Must have completed JR 4 or have equivalent ski skills) - 25 weeks. $100. 1.5/2hr lesson on Tuesdays 7pm then possible change to 6pm and Saturdays 11am with possible change to 2pm.

Current PNSC membership is required to participate in all youth programs. Please ensure you fill in youth's name and date of birth the same as on your PNSC membership to ensure you will not be charged the Nordiq AB and Nordiq CAN insurance fees again.
