Canadian Firearms Safety Course

The Alberta Biathlon Club (ABC) is offering the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) to all athletes and/or parents/guardians of athletes enrolled in a Biathlon program in Alberta.  All athletes 12 years of age or older require the CFSC to obtain their Minor Firearms License or (if over 18) Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) in order to participate in the sport of Biathlon.


Who can attend : Any athlete who is 12 yrs or older on the date of the course , Cadet, parent, grandparent, and/or guardian involved in supporting an athlete in Biathlon or planning to join a Biathlon Club (includes Cadets) for the upcoming season. DO NOT REGISTER IF YOU ARE NOT 12 YRS OR OLDER ON DATE OF COURSE. THE CFO PROHIBITS THE INSTRUCTOR FROM TEACHING THE CFSC TO PERSONS UNDER 12 YRS OF AGE.


Cost: $75 plus must be a current member of ABC (membership is $5 per year). NO REFUNDS.


Where: Bass Pro Store Conservation room, Cross Iron Mall, 112-261055 Crossiron Blvd, Rocky View # 44, Airdrie, CA T4A 0G3. The Conservation room is located on the second floor between the Archery and Rifle section.


When: Saturday, December 3 , 8:00 AM to approximately 6:00 PM.


Space is limited to 10 seats , so please register early.
