
Yellowknife Ski Races Registration

The Yellowknife Ski Races are an annual event to meet other skiers, gain race experience, and have a good time. This is a family event, with categories for all ages. Anyone is eligible to enter or just drop by to watch and make some noise. We look forward to seeing you at the event.
Registration:
All participants must register for the event before Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at midnight. Race fee is $7 per race. Under 8 years of age are free. Relays races are included with the classic interval start registration fee. Late entries cannot be accepted.

Eligibility:
Anyone with a pair of skis. All ages and abilities are welcomed and encouraged to participate!
Course:
The race routes will follow the 1.25 km route at the ski club. The U6 race routes will occur in the ski club stadium. Maps of the routes will be posted at the ski club on the day of the events.
Results & Awards:
Race results will be posted on zone 4 and at the ski club following the races. Medals will be awarded to U12, U14, U16, U18 & Masters categories, only for the Classic Interval Start.
Medal Ceremony:
Will occur following the races around 3pm.
Waxing Facilities:
Come ready to ski! Wax facilities at the chalet are available 24 hours a day. Please prepare your equipment in advance.
Refreshments & Canteen :
Bring your own snacks and beverages. Each participant will receive a cookie medal and drink voucher at the end of their races. A canteen will be open on race day. Come with the whole family to enjoy lunch together.
Weather & Cancellation Policy:
As per Nordiq Canada racing rules , the racing cut off temperatures will be -15ºC for under 12 years (U12) and -20ºC for all older age categories. The ‘event jury’ will monitor the weather forecast and will announce via email on the day of the event by 10 am if races will be cancelled. In case of cancellation, participants are encouraged to go for a recreational ski and enjoy lunch at the chalet. No refunds will be issued.
