Program Note: The MTB Youth Recreational & Developmental Program is suitable for all fitness and skill levels of mountain biking. However, it is not a learn to ride a bike program.

Athletes 11-17 years old
Pre-Season:
Weather and trail dependent - Beginning April
Regular Season:
Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:30pm - 8:00pm (and some weekends)
May to July - or longer dependent on racing schedule
Registration Fee: $325
Additional Fees:
Summer Membership is $52 (annual members do not need this)
Race license if competing provincially $116
Program Note: The WN MTB Racers Program has a high intensity both with endurance and MTB skills and may not be suitable for everyone.

Equipment Information
Our trails are best rode on a Mountain Style Bike. A bike with gears is beneficial for riding up/down all the hills. A BMX style bike is a challenge to ride on our trails and is not recommended.
Biking Helmets are mandatory . Please ensure your child has one at all times. They will not be allowed on the trails if they forget it at home.
Bikes should be in good working order; gears that shift, lubed chains, and adequate brakes in both the front and back (just to name a few key points). If you are unsure on how to check these things, please let us know. We want to ensure your child has safe equipment on the trails.
We encourage family fitness. Parents are welcome to join in with one of the biking groups (it is a great way for you to learn the trails) or you can enjoy a walk/hike on the trails on your own. Trail maps are available from our website. Dogs must be on a leash and you are responsible for picking up after them.
If parents/siblings are using the trails on their own or volunteering to come out with us, they must have a Wapiti Nordic Summer Membership (unless you are a skier and already have an annual membership with us).
If you are not a member already, Family or individual Summer Memberships can be purchased at Zone 4.ca - search Wapiti Nordic Summer Membership. Alternately, an individual Summer Membership can be purchased for your child only with this registration.
