Frozen Thunder is financed and operated through a partnership agreement between: Nordiq Canada, Biathlon Canada, Alberta World Cup Society, Biathlon Alberta, Nordiq Alberta and supported by the Canmore Nordic Centre .
RESERVED TRACK TIMES:
Monday to Sunday: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
November 2 , 4 , and 5 , are scheduled for Biathlon races. Only registered event participants will have access to the Track on these dates.
November 8 and 9 are Nordiq Thunder races. No other training is allowed on these days. Registrants can sign up for the race(s) by selecting the date(s) with the corresponding distance as part of the regular Frozen Thunder training registration. Athletes need to check Zone 4 the evening or morning of for their start time.
Important Information
IMPORTANT: You will need proof of purchase of a Canmore Nordic Center Frozen Thunder season trail pass to purchase an All Access bib during the reserved time period.
EVEN MORE IMPORTANT: Know your training times and dates for the entire Frozen Thunder season (October 20-November 16, 2023). Once you have purchased a bib through this process you will not be able to reserve training time.
Only those skiing on Frozen Thunder during the reserved time need to purchase a Bib.
Reserved time periods have high performance athletes training at high speeds and intensity.
