Harvie Passage Slalom Race - Alberta Cup #4

Calgary, Saturday September 29/12

Be a part of History and take part in the first ever Slalom Race at Harvie Passage! Thanks to Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development, we have permission to put up slalom gates for one day. With luck, this will turn into a regular event and possibly permanent gates at the site.

The right chanel has relatively low water in the fall and is excellent for novice paddlers and elite paddlers alike.

We would like ALL race participants, coaches AND volunteers to register for this event.

Schedule:

7-9am - Course construction (help is appreciated)

9:30am - Clinic Registration @ top of course (5min walk from parking lot)

10am - Morning Clinic - $25, or you can practice on your own for free.

12pm - Race registration . The race fee is $15 / participant for those who register online, $20 for those who don't; you must be an AWA member to race (you can join the AWA prior to the race).

1-3 pm - Slalom Race on river Right Chanel

4-6pm - Open Training

6pm - Course take down

Please continue all the way through the checkout process to ensure registration. All fees will be collected on Saturday at Harvie Passage. MAP

Waivers are required for all race participants. If a minor is racing and he/she has no parent/guardian at the event the waiver must be signed in advance and brought to the event.
