2025 Sounder Ski Tour

Trail Conditions Update (Wednesday January 1, 2025):

Thank you to the more than 20 volunteers who did some “repair and restore” shoveling yesterday at Georgian Nordic, we now have a solid base on our main trails. As the temperature is finally moving to below the freezing mark, we are cautiously confident that we will have good and safe cross-country skiing conditions for the 2025 Sounder Ski Tour .

Trail Conditions Update (Monday December 30, 2024):

Lots of rain and mild weather creating havoc on Georgian Nordic trails…

Now, it all depends on when we get freezing temperatures, and if we get snow in the next few days. We will make a plan to repair and restore trails once we have a better idea of the extend of the damage.

We advise you to wait a few days before considering registration for the 2025 Sounder Ski Tour.

Georgian Nordic Outdoor Activity Centre invites everyone to participate in the 2025 Sounder Ski Tour on Sunday January 12th 2025.

  1. Classic events start at 10:30 am with different distance categories going every 10 minutes.
  2. Free technique events start at noon with different distance categories going every 10 minutes.

If you wish to participate in both classic and skate events. You need to register twice. Register for classic first, then on your skate registration, use the code " SKI2RACES " in the "Discount for Classic and Skate" box for a $10.00 discount.

  1. There will be soup, buns and/or bagels, and hot chocolate for all participants.
  2. There will be "draw prizes"!
  3. Awards and prizes will be distributed as results become available.
