City of Lakes Cycling Club And Cyclesmith are excited to be able to collaborate to bring you two great short track series in Dartmouth & Halifax, Nova Scotia!

Short Track “racing” is a great way for kids and adults alike to build technical skills and endurance for future cycling events and have an opportunity to try competition. Not sure racing is your thing, sign-up for the series to keep active, have fun and meet other cyclists in your community!

Racing will take place on Mondays from May to the end of June at Seaview / Africville Lookoff Park in Halifax and on Tuesdays from the end of May to the end of July at Shubie Park in Dartmouth.

Beginner riders on run bikes are welcome to race as well

As part of our agreement with the city of Halifax all riders for the Dartmouth series must have a bell on their bike as the short track will take place on a shared area with pedestrians.

Proceeds from the event support local youth cycling development teams.

Categories and Fees:

Halifax Series: $70 for the series

Dartmouth Series: $70 for the series

Combined Series: $125 for both

Drop in fees is $15 per night for kids (U17) and $20 per night for adults

If you are not a Cycling Nova Scotia member, you must pay an additional $10.00 to participate in this event for insurance purposes.

6:00pm-6:25pm for youth categories & course pre-riding

U8/U10 & U13/U15 Races Start

6:30pm (20-25 minute race)

Open Category Race

7:20pm (30 minute + 1lap race)

Cars can park at the lower parking lot off Africville Road or Street Parking on North Ridge Rd. and Novalea Dr. Follow the signs into the park for registration.
