6K / 10K TRAIL RUN

Welcome to the inaugural Galiano Gallop! With stunning ocean views, lush forested single track and a fun island vibe, this race has it all!

The start/finish is at Lions Field at the south end of Galiano Island. Plan to hang out after the race to enjoy local vendors, local musical talent, prizes and FOOD!

There will be two race distances - 6K & 10K and a free kids race. Both distances will have aid stations stocked with water, snacks and cheering volunteers to get you to the finish. Walkers welcome!

Kids race is just under 1K around Lions Field and is geared for kids ages 3-10 years old. No need to register kids online, they are FREE and can pick up their colouring sheet race bib at race package pick up.

Race package pick up is on Saturday, September 27th from 10am-2pm at the Saturday Market at Lions Field and race morning from 7:30am-8:30am. We are encouraging everyone to pick their package up on Saturday.

We are aiming to be a zero waste event.

• We will be a "cupless" event (no drinking cups will be available at aid stations). Free reusable cups will be giving to racers in their race packages for use during the race and to keep for future use.

Entry fee discounts will be given to Galiano Trails Society "active" members. If you are not sure if you are a GTS active member, please contact galianotrailssociety@gmail.com before completing your online registration. If you are not an active member, and you sign up for the race as one, unfortunately we will not be able to give you your official timing chip at race package pick up.

We encourage you and your family to become members to take advantage of race discounts and help Galiano Trails Society build and maintain trails on Galiano Island. Member sign up can be found on our website www.galianotrails.com .
