Skills Development Program (Bunnies/Jack Rabbits)

Welcome to Caledonia Nordic’s Skills Development Program (SDP)!

Our SDP is designed for youth ages 3–12, following the athlete-development stages of Active Start , FUNdamentals , and Learning to Train . Rooted in the national framework from Nordiq Canada and Cross Country BC , the program combines skill progression with fun, community, and a lifelong love of skiing.

• Bunny Tots & Bunnies (Active Start, ages 3–5): Through play-based sessions, children develop balance, coordination, and confidence while discovering the joy of skiing outdoors.
• Jackrabbits (FUNdamentals, ages 6–9): Skiers build their skills in both classic and skate techniques through games, challenges, and group activities that focus on agility, balance, and teamwork.
• Jackalopes (Learning to Train, ages 10–12): For skiers who love being on snow but aren’t interested in racing, Jackalopes offers an inclusive, community-based program that emphasizes skill development, outdoor adventure, and having fun with friends on skis.

At Caledonia Nordic, the SDP is more than just a program—it’s a community. Each season, dedicated volunteer coaches, enthusiastic families, and excited young skiers come together to create a welcoming environment where every child can thrive, whether they’re gliding for the first time or exploring new trails with confidence.

Please note that GST is not included in the listed prices and will be added at checkout. Online payments can be made by credit card only (Processing fee 3%). These fees can be avoided at our amazing Cash/Cheque Days!!
