Welcome to the Cypress Nordic Ski Club (CNSC)

Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park (Elkwater) has a wonderful network of groomed trails and a vibrant ski community. We are excited to also be partnering with the City of Medicine Hat to develop cross country ski trails in Kin Coulee. This year we are adding Biathlon, using the safe Ecoaims Systems.

Join us for day ski, back-country fun or lessons, programs and events right here in Southeastern Alberta.

Ski rentals - Visitor Center at Elkwater; waxless ("fishscale") skis available for rent for adults and children.

You need to register for a Club membership prior to registering for any Club programs. Our membership year runs from November 1 to October 30. Fees will not be prorated depending on registration date.

Fees

Fees are affected by the amount we pay per participant to Nordiq Alberta (formerly Cross Country Alberta) and Nordiq Canada (formerly Cross Country Canada) to be eligible for insurance coverage and youth incentives. Those fees are $22 per person regardless of age. The remaining amount supports Cypress Nordic Ski Club.

In addition to program fees, Zone4.ca charges a nominal registration fee and collects credit card fees for those choosing to pay by card. These costs will be added to the program fees charged when you check out.

Those in Biathlon programs must also register with Biathlon Canada ($35)

During CNSC activities and events, all named Club members are covered by Nordiq Canada insurance . If your name is not on the list of registered Club members, you are not covered by this insurance, and you cannot participate in Club activities or events. Please register all your family members , even if they are volunteering or cheering on participants, so that they are covered by Nordiq Canada insurance.

Membership Info - ages are as of Dec 31st of the current registration year.

Membership Type

• Couple Membership - $100 consists of 2 adults or 1 adult and 1 child/youth at the same household
• Adult Membership - $70 consists of 1 adult over 18 yrs
• Youth/Student Membership - $25 consists of 1 youth age 13-17 or 18-24 if a full time student
• Child Membership - $25 consists of 1 child age <12
• Family Membership- $150 consists of up to 2 adults and up to 5 children
