
Cross Country Saskatchewan Fall Training Weekend in Lakeland District, SK (Prince Albert National Park and Great Blue Heron Provincial Park
The Training Weekend will be open to skiers from the U12 to U23 age categories (2015 being the youngest YOB) who are training for cross country ski racing this coming season.
Participating athletes need to be a member of a CCS club.
There is no registration fee associated with the day camp, however participants must be registered by the evening of Wednesday, September 17th .
The practice plans will vary for each session depending on the participants age, with the older athletes focused more continuous movement and covering kilometres, while the younger athletes will have more variety and games sprinkled in, as well as breaks.

~15 minutes Group dynamic warm up before the Fun Run, at Waskesiu Ball Diamond

Get there 10 mins early to get a good spot in the line up.

Ski hiking (with poles)/trail running with poles at the Anglin Lake Trails in Great Blue Heron Provincial Park

- Rollerski safety equipment (helmert, high viz shirt, light gloves, sunglasses)
- Skate rollerski equipment (rollerskis, skate-length poles with sharp tips, skate boots)
- Running shoes
- Ski striding poles (ski poles that are roughly chest height)
- Hydration (drink belt or vest)
- Your favourite energy snacks to keep you fueled throughout the sessions
